This Friday, The Society Cup 2012 will be taking place at the Tarkett Pitches (Westwood), followed by a social at Saint Bar in Leamington Spa. BioSoc will be taking part! Here’s the official description:

“As you can imagine, there is inevitably a lot of competition between the biggest academic societies on campus. On the sports pitches, the tension has built up so much so, that we’ve finally decided to see which society has what it takes to win the SOCIETY CUP and be crowned the ‘Best Sporting Society on Campus’.

But we like to go the extra mile. The event isn’t just about sports but not only are we raising money for a great UK based charity, Right to Play, but we’re also collaborating for the BIGGEST END OF TERM SOCIAL at Saints, so you do not want to miss out representing your society.”

Tickets cost £6 and include a T-shirt, burger (claimable at the final), queue-jump and entry to Saint Bar, and 2 free drinks.

Our next event has been announced! On Friday 18th November (Week 7) at 8:30 PM, get your military uniform in order and file in at the Piazza. After a brief inspection, all will march to The Dirty Duck to set up camp and be subjected to a series of gruelling tasks.

Those who are successful will be able to proceed to the ultimate test of the evening: Top Banana in The Copper Rooms.
